Viral Motorbike Schoolgirl in Kenya Receives Aid From Sponsors

Faith Jepchirchir, A 13-year-old Kenyan school-girl who was photographed hanging on a motorcycle carrying wood has received help from a Nairobi-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

According to the Standard, the young girl had reportedly walked for seven kilometers to help her grandmother gather firewood which she sells for their upkeep. A boda-boda rider offered to help move the firewood with the girl.

TheImage went viral on the internet and  Soles for African Child, an NGO, traced the girl to her grandmother’s home in Elgeyo Marakwet.

She received several gifts and pledges from sponsors willing to support and finance her education.

Faith revealed that she would love to be a medical doctor in the future.
