Jose Mourinho has reportedly held private talks with Justin Kluivert over a move to Manchester United.
Kluivert, 18, is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the Netherlands and is being linked with a move to Old Trafford after a barnstorming start to his Ajax career.
Mourinho was seen chatting to Kluivert following the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Ajax in the Europa League final last summer, sparking rumors that the winger could be set for a move to United.
It is claimed the Portuguese have told Kluivert to hold out until the summer for an offer from United.
Asked about his conversation with Mourinho after the Europa League final, Kluivert told Algemeen Dagblad: ‘Mourinho did not have a second to discuss a transfer.
‘He thought it was nice to see me.
‘Mourinho knows me from the time that I was a little boy and my father played at Barcelona when Mourinho worked there as an assistant trainer
Kluivert was an unused substitute in Stockholm last summer but looks back on the experience as a positive one.
‘It was a shame that I didn’t play in the final, the Dutchman said.
