Tottenham star Dele Alli stuck the knife into Chelsea fans after Spurs ended their 28-year Stamford Bridge hoodoo on Sunday.
The England midfielder had come in for criticism before the match and wasn’t selected to start in either of England’s friendlies against Holland and Italy last week.
Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard started ahead of Alli in both games and there was a strange pressure surrounding the former MK Dons playmaker going into Sunday’s game in west London.
However, Alli responded in emphatic style by scoring twice against Chelsea to end Spurs’ long run without a win at Stamford Bridge.
Alli was the subject of huge amounts of abuse from the crowd when he was celebrating his goals but he took to Twitter after the game to silence his critics.
The midfielder put three ‘zip it’ emojis alongside a photo of him cupping his ears in front of the Chelsea fans after scoring the winner.
